Oliver's Race Against Heart Disease
ENGLISH TRANSLATION AT THE BOTTOM <3

ENGLISH:
Oliver’s journey with heart problems began at the age of 12, leading to his first ablation at 15. His diagnosis became real when it forced him to leave Mexico City during his first call-up to Canada’s youth national football team. While the initial surgery was successful, his symptoms gradually returned, affecting him throughout his professional football career, including his time in Danish Superliga.
Now 24, and four years after retiring from football, Oliver has undergone four additional surgeries, none of which have resolved his heart issues. Recently, he received a loop recorder to better understand his arrhythmia and address lingering questions surrounding heart disease.
Despite these challenges, Oliver remains determined. Through his love for storytelling and film, he hopes to inspire others facing their own struggles, big or small, while raising awareness and funds for heart disease—especially for youth. With 1 in 5 people dying from heart-related conditions, Oliver is committed to supporting those in need.
Oliver has set his sights on the Copenhagen Marathon, using it as a tool to prove to himself that his heart is strong and that he can continue pushing forward despite his condition. His journey will be shared through an upcoming documentary series, which will be linked here upon its release
